Paperartsy Pink and Orange Challenge ~#2

Ok I maybe coming round to the colour combo.  Gone for a simple journal page today.

I started with a pretty infusions background

Next I swirled some tango and bougainvillea fresco onto a piece of scrap paper - onto this I stamped flowers from JOFY 32 and also stamped the main image onto the infusions page.

I then cut out the flowers and glued them onto and around the main image. A few liquid pearls dots and a black squiggly border added the finishing touches.

Paperartsy Pink and Orange Challenge

Quite a bit out of my comfort zone with this combination of colours . But here goes - nice to have time to play after Christmas cards, birthday cards and Save the date cards.

I started with a small tag onto which I'd stuck scraps of book pages. Next I scraped orchid and butternut fresco paint with an old credit card.  I then stencilled cosmic shimmer texture paste - which when heated bubbles and creates a fantastic texture. I also stencilled in some trees in a darker pink and stamped grasses along the bottom.  All that was then needed was a couple of cute owls to live in my rather bizarre coloured forest.

PA challenge Typography Fonts and Quotes #2

This is my second entry to the current PA challenge and quite different to my usual style - loads of colour in the background from some beautiful zingy frescos.  I've also stamped the word SING in matching distress inks after adding the white bricks.  The main image is from Visible Image - love her thumb print dress

PA Challenge Typography Fonts and Quotes

This is the first of two quick posts for the current PA challenge #21 as I've realised the time  - full details are here

I've put together a journal page using frescos and JOFY stamps - I love this verse and will give this page to a young friend who is battling cancer for the second time. I've also used a fine script stamps in the background which you can just see in these pictures.

Squares and Grids #2

This is my second entry for the current Paperartsy challenge see here for full details  - I hope this is allowed as there's not a drop of paint or stamp in sight.  I've been intending to make a little dust cover for my sewing machine for a while and this made my mind up on what to do.  I've put together a simple pattern of squares which is backed and slightly quilted also making it reversible..
