Nautical colours topic #5

A bit of a last minute entry to the current Paperartsy challenge
the full details are here

I’ve been made a few items recently but never get a chance to blog them. Just made it in time today - this started with one of my favourite substrates, a bit of old corrugated card partly stripped back to reveal the super middle waves.  Followed up by a coat of Space Cadet fresco, crackle glaze and Chalk.  I wasn’t sure where this was headed until I found the wavy blue wool. The lighthouse and compasses used as rocks are Paperartsy stamps and the little boat a magazine freebie.

Thank you for looking and Happy Easter xx

  1. Great textures and lots of fun in this piece Sarah. Yummy contrasts and love how your lighthouse goes over the edge of the card. Makes me want to play again. Love it. Xx

  4. How lovely of you to drop in! Hope you've been enjoying some sunshine over the Bank Holiday. I love this nautical piece - fab crackle, and the corrugated cardboard is so perfect to imply the waves of the sea in the background - clever!
