Grids and Squares #3
A last hour entry to the Paperartsy challenge - using up some of those scraps which I've cut into random sized squares and rectangles to make a quick journal page.

Squares and Grids #2
This is my second entry for the current Paperartsy challenge see here for full details - I hope this is allowed as there's not a drop of paint or stamp in sight. I've been intending to make a little dust cover for my sewing machine for a while and this made my mind up on what to do. I've put together a simple pattern of squares which is backed and slightly quilted also making it reversible..

Squares and Grids #1
Check out the Paperartsy blog for some wonderful inspiration for the current theme see here for details. I've created a card for my friends birthday using different embossed papers for the grid background. For a change I've used distress inks for my colouring instead of paint. I've stamped and coloured some JOFY flowers as the focal point with a couple of die cut flourishes.

Paperartsy challenge - Die cuts #2
I needed a quick card for a friend so decided on the below that also tied in with the current challenge over at Paperartsy see here for full details
I made an easel card base first with the one of the nesting dies and covered with some pretty hot air balloon paper. For the balloon I painted space cadet and captain peacock frescos onto some scraps and die cut the balloon and attached to the backing. Next I cut Happy Birthday with my most used die and added a shadow. Three little circles were the finishing touch to make the stopper.

Paperartsy Challenge - die cuts
An interesting challenge this week, see here for info, as sure like most of you I've my favourite handful of dies that get used all the time and loads that seemed a good idea at the time. One that falls into the second category is a PA die that goes with ELB01 stamps - only because I've always had a nightmare working out how to line it up - to the point that I sent it back to Leandra who kindly gave me some fall proof instructions.
So I set myself a little challenge in using it and here's the result - great to use some old stamps, crackle glaze and embossing powder.
