Card inspired by Sam Butler

Sam treated us to one of her fab oriental pieces of art as GD for PaperArtsy this week.  I'm always in awe of her oriental style projects so I grabbed the one set of oriental stamps I have and got to work.  Shamefully I never actually used this particular stamp before.

I really liked the idea of die cutting a shape and decoupaging it on the main image - I've used a butterfly the same as Sam - great idea !

Whilst I was rummaging around for a spare piece of black card I found a scape of black and red card that matched perfectly so I decided to use this and make a card out of my design.

thanks for getting me to use these stamps again Sam !

Flower journal page inspired by Lin Brown

Lin created a wonderful hanging over at PaperArtsy this week, please see here , with loads of lovely layers.  I'm still to get hold of her new limited edition paints, hopefully someone will treat me for my birthday next month lol.  I've created a journal page instead of a handing but other wise I've followed her techniques quite closely.

Thank you for looking x

Altered Bottle

The challenge at Arty Inklings this month is to altered a bottle see here.  Initially I planned to stamp directly onto the bottle but this proved too tricky. Instead I've stamped onto to kraft card and cut out the Lin Brown images.  To add interest I've threaded various beads onto wire to create a swirl of beads inside the bottle ending with handmade butterfly.

I would also like to enter this piece in the latest Craft Stamper challenge, please see here for details. This is a great challenge as it can feature real bottles or stamped images of bottles.

Thank you for looking !
