Paperartsy Paint Challenge - Brayering

Haven't posted anything for ages now 2 in one day !

I watched Leandra's video on brayering onto wax tissue the other day (she makes it look so easy) -  here is my result. I wasn't getting as much coverage as I wanted, not sure what I was doing wrong - suggestions welcome.

I wasn't sure what to make with the finished pieces so used some for a background along with some spare flowers from some previous projects to make a quick card.

Paperartsy - Paint Challenge 3

The latest challenge from Paperartsy is "Paint" see here - where to start as the opinions are endless.

Of course I had to use a touch of crackled paint somewhere in the project so firstly I created a simple background to mount my tag on.

The main tag includes a new technique for me - I saw Ali Reeve demo recently and she created her own crackle texture paste using gesso and cornflour - just mix the 2 to a stiff paste.  I applied this through a mask and left it to dry naturally.  Hopefully my photos pick up the gorgeous fine cracks that appear.

I used Inky Pool fresco to cover the whole back ground as I wanted a dark base to stencil using the same technique as Sue Carrington see her project here.  They've not turned out too bad - I just need to be a bit less heavy handed with my paint in the future,  These were finished off with some pretty flower buttons.

Thank you for looking xx
